MilSpouse Friday Fill-In #48

Does your Significant Other read your blog?  Why is this a good or a bad thing? submitted by Mrs. Alana's Miscellany
Hi, Honey!
Jason reads my blog, and I think it's a good thing.  Sometimes he gets to read the mundane things that are going through my head, but other times he gets to read the things that I can't exactly articulate to him for fear of becoming a blubbering, snotting idiot.

What is one item in your house that holds the most sentimental value and why? submitted by The Albrecht Squad
My jewelry box.  It holds a little bit of all of the most important people in my life. In it are the pieces of jewelry I got for various special occasions from family, the numerous items Jason has given me, and some of my late grandmother's pieces.  Also in this much-loved box are my National Guard Brat coin, my Ombudsman coin, my Betty Lou name tag from Xan's, my Omega Phi Alpha pin, and my Captain Planet ring - 1 of the set of 5 that my four best friends from high school and I each got.  I got heart, just so you know ;)

When it comes to water fun in the summer do you prefer the beach, the pool, a lake, or the sprinklers? submitted byThe Turvo Times

The beach for special occasions, the pool for every day.

What is the one special thing that you do for yourself to get you through the first week of a deployment/separation? submitted by A Creed and a Psalm
I always, always eat dinner out the first night.  I also usually get a pedicure the first week.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure website? submitted by Christine's Little Blog
Facebook is too obvious to count, so I will be more specific and say that it's my Moms of October 2010 Babies group on Facebook.  We all met on the WhatToExpect.com October 2010 board, and many of us still keep up that way.  I love those mommies~!

  1. I'm all about the pedi and dinner out at the beginning of a deployment. It's good to treat yourself a little.
